The back office is not configured yet. Still to set:
ADMIN_PASSWORD and SESSION_SECRET, in
Netlify under Site configuration → Environment variables, then redeploy — a variable
that exists with an empty value counts as unset, and a change only reaches the site on the
next deploy. Until then the back office cannot let anybody in — including you.
One password, one collector. The session lasts a few hours and lives in a signed cookie — nothing about you is stored.
The camera lookup is switched off. No ANTHROPIC_API_KEY is set on
this site, so nothing can be identified automatically. Everything else in the back office works normally, and
you can still photograph a book and type the details in yourself from the Collection tab.
A lookup is a starting point, not the last word. It comes back with a grade range, what
comparable copies have sold for and the sources it used. Add it straight to the collection, or open it in the
editor first and correct whatever it got wrong.
The queue
Card payments are not switched on.
Add them in Netlify under Site configuration, then Environment variables, then redeploy.
Stripe is in test mode. Your secret key starts sk_test_, so nothing here
took real money. Swap in the live key when you are ready to sell for real.
What people have offered you. Everything sent through the Sell to us and Consign
forms lands here and nowhere else. Nothing is emailed to you and nothing is emailed to them, so this
queue is the only place these ever appear — and replying means writing to the address yourself.
What has been knocking
Everything the site has turned away in the last
thirty days. Most of it will be automated scanning that hits every address on the internet and got nowhere here
— it is listed so that when an email does arrive, you can see what it was about.
